Dear friends! Sorry, we have bad news for you. Today the Sacrarium lost its database due to a system error. The Sacrarium database problem is a very old problem. The large amount of data made the database very large. The number of errors was constantly accumulating year after year. All these years the Sacrarium has been under a very high load. In addition, sometimes there were attacks by hackers, which we resisted for months. Despite this, the Sacrarium continued to work. Maintaining such a large database required more and more technical resources from us, which were barely enough to maintain it. We couldn't even afford to make a backup, because that would take twice as much memory. Here we are talking about terabytes. At first, we made a backup every week, while there was enough space on our disks. But after a couple of years, the resources were exhausted. Thus, today we have lost all data. Sooner or later this happens with every grid, unfortunately. Despite our sadness, we are nevertheless optimistic. Over the years, the Sacrarium has ceased to be just another grid, but has become a community of people. As long as our community exists, the Sacrarium will also exist. Now let's talk about our next steps. Today we are starting to develop a new Sacrarium grid. Yes, we have lost the database, but we have the regions' OARs and we can restore them. Over the years, we have accumulated serious experience and now we have a chance to avoid many mistakes that were made in the beginning. The new grid has every chance of becoming much better and more stable. You will soon see the new Sacrarium that will not disappoint you. We urge you to refrain from negative emotions, to accept the fact that nothing is eternal. Nothing is eternal except the Sacrarium. The Sacrarium is eternal! Follow our news in the Soziarium.
