Basically it works after a deep brainstorming.
I still have a few things to check and improve, but it works

I will provide a way to customize how it renders on collision, but I wont redevelop the bumping glow .

How would you like it ? transparent by defaut and a defined color glowing, or like I did in my example with one color by default and another glowing on collision ?

Ok so now it works, but limits on OpenSim 0.8.2 make it less reactive than on latest version or SecondLife. I managed to make it customizable so you can choose the effect to apply when walking on the hexagons, by modifying the script (no special scripting talent needed). I will make a box soon
